Be prepared to write down ideas as they come to you, no matter where that may happen. Use a notepad app on your phone or even carry a real notepad with you. Just write what you think about and you can work on those ideas later.

If you have had several consecutive failings, take a moment to analyze what you’re doing wrong. Do an Internet search for people pursuing the same goals. Note any differences between their strategies and yours. You might be trying to do too much at once, have the steps in the wrong order, or only taking half-measures when allocating resources.

Extra Tips! Self discipline is required if you wish to do some work on yourself. You should have the proper amount of self-control over your desires.

Maximize work time. One trick to doing this, is to take more breaks. It may seem counterintuitive, but you can actually increase your productivity by taking frequent breaks. That way, you will be refreshed when you return to work and motivated to produce at a much higher level.

Don’t put off making decisions, as this could deny you opportunities. You need to face these decisions with confidence, even if you aren’t totally sure. Successful decisions evolve into good instincts. Even incorrect decisions improve the learning process, and lead to better development, by providing an outline for what you shouldn’t do. When you learn from your mistakes, you are less likely to repeat them.

Figure out what is really important to you and focus on those things in your life. You will find an increased inner peace if you do not dwell on the past or negative encounters, and choose instead to think and act on positive experiences.

Extra Tips! Learn to recognize which obstacles are keeping you away from your goals. Most people don’t know where to start.
